What's good, everyone? This is Dr. Ney. So I'm going to keep it real with y'all. I'm going to be straight with y'all. I'm going to take y'all all the way back to 2014. I was fresh off

of being a newly meant to doctor, a surgeon, doing something that I've always wanted to do since I was a child, finally making a healthy salary, newly married, we're in a honeymoon phase.

Literally, I was on top of the world. I felt like nobody could tell me anything. But I actually had a secret that nobody knew about. And that secret was,

I didn't know anything. I ain't know Jack. That's worse than not knowing anything. Well, you don't know

Jack as worse about money. I mean, I didn't know how to invest in my 401k. I didn't know what to do about our student loans. I had over $300,000 in student loan debt. Renee was bringing the same thing. It was crazy. I didn't even know how to properly budget. I didn't even know how to manage a savings account the right way. And I'm telling you all right now, we both have our MBAs and we still didn't

know how to do that. So, you know, even though externally it looked like I was on top of the world

and in my mind I was feeling that way, I actually was really bummed and felt like I was at a low

point. So one night actually I typed in savings account into Google and it brought me to

YouTube. And obviously the first

page, there are things about high yield bank accounts, there's stuff on CDs. But then when I went to

the next page, I found this video that there was a couple named his and her money. Never heard of

them before. And it was called, why we have

13 bank accounts. I'm like 13 bank accounts. How do they have 13 bank accounts? They must not know

how to manage their money. Yo, after watching this video, my mind was blown. These folks had

an account for future car purchases because they only believed in paying for

cars in cash.
