It's really anyone's worst nightmare.

A family moves into an old farmhouse in Brookville, Ohio, and it doesn't take them long to realize

there's something really wrong with their house. For example, when the family spoke to their new

next door neighbor, he looked them dead in the eye and said, I can't believe you can live in that house.

That is a bad sign. They begin to experience strange things in the home. They feel a dark

presence, and it just gets bad, quick. Let's get right into the story. I want you to get cozy.

Grab a blanket and some snacks. It's about to get eerie. This is the true story of

the Kane family haunting. At the center of our story is the Kane family consisting of Scott Kane,

Alicia, his wife, and their children, 15-year-old Mac, 10-year-old Farah, and 6-year-old Marissa. In 2008,

the family moved from South Dakota to Brookville,

Ohio, a small, quiet farming town. Right outside Dayton, it's a peaceful Midwestern place. Their new town was a kind of place where neighbors greeted each other with waves, and everyone knew everyone. From the

moment they saw the old farmhouse,

they knew this was the one they wanted. It was going to be the biggest home they had ever lived in,

plenty of space. Each kid got their own bedroom, spacious and open. Alicia Kane grew up living

that country life, and her husband Scott was thrilled to find such a great size house. They said Brookville

reminded them a lot of South Dakota, so it already felt so homey to them. But it was tough for the

family. Scott traveled a lot for work as a corporate auditor. He was at a town quite frequently,

leaving Alicia at home with the kids, taking care of the house. Scott really wanted to be at home,

and the kids and Alicia wanted him to be there, but this was his job. But even still, Alicia said
