Summary

During the month of June, Adam worked more hours than he has maybe ever worked. He's been exhausted all month from his job, and Danielle has been exhausted from all of the stuff going on with the kids and household. The feeling of "languishing," that feeling like you just can't seem to enjoy things or make progress in life has been overwhelming for both of them. This is the first conversation the two of them have had together in weeks, and they catch up Mia's evaluation (details in episode #166), Adam's vaping habit and how his attempt to quit is going, and their hopes for their upcoming getaway together.

Hey everybody, welcome to Marjoram Artini's, I'm Adam, here's Daniel.

0:29.5

Hello. I'm getting a little bit drunk a little bit too early. I've only had like five

0:37.4

sips of my drink or so. This is the first drink we've had in a really long time.

0:43.3

It sure is. And I want to get into that in a little bit because I have a little

0:48.8

bonus stuff you asked me to get into later. And that's kind of part of it. So yeah.

0:54.7

So sorry, sorry everybody. I hope I come across okay in this episode.

1:00.7

Well, when we have, when we've had episodes in the past where we say that we're drunk,

1:04.8

people are like, you're not drunk enough. You don't sound drunk.

1:07.5

Is that weird? And we're like, I fully felt drunk.

1:11.8

In all of our episodes and somebody says to me, remember an episode, whatever, and you said,

1:18.3

I'm like, no, I don't remember anything I said in any episode. I guess we come across

1:26.2

okay, which is so weird because we are, I don't know, right? Well, it depends not every

1:34.4

episode. No, of course not. But, you know, but the episodes that we clearly state, like

1:38.3

we are drinking, we're drunk, people are often like, you guys didn't sound nearly drunk

1:43.3

enough.

1:44.3

Or maybe not good. Right. But it's been a while. So we are feeling this, that we are

1:49.8

both just having a one drink and we both feel it, which is I think indicative number one

1:55.6

of the fact that we haven't had a drink in a while. And maybe indicative of the fact

1:58.8

that we're fucking old. We're not. And I, I wish you would stop saying and feeling

2:04.2

that way because we're not that old. The pandemic has aged me exponentially.

2:10.4

Yeah, it has. I'm fully aged in this pandemic. Yes, I am like the woman who lived in the

2:18.5

show. I think she was like actually 28. But they always made her out to be very, very old
