Hello everyone this is Blake with Marvel.com and I have a very very special

edition of the this week in Marvel podcast I am joined by mr. M e thioed D man what's up y'all that's right I'm in here with the B man and we're about to get it

cracking well I just had such a blast showing you around the office like you what was your experience like most I got to say

initially fans don't unfortunately get the chance to walk around here you got to be

semi special which you're somebody special what was your experience like man I'm

eff and you're not man you know like like I'm in the comic book Mecca of the

world man and I mean you can't go two steps without your head turning I need some blinders or something because

It's hard. I can't even I don't even have words people for every fan boy that has ever picked up a comic book and wish they were in my position right now you feel me you

feel me I got a burst of energy I just want to let out and just scream and run up and down the hallway's butt-ass neck it.

That's serious. You got along with everybody so well. I'm sure you're allowed to. I think they were impressed by my comic book knowledge.

They were very impressed by my comic book knowledge, my inner geek.

So I've interviewed you a couple times before and you've told told me you've answered this before but just for fans who haven't seen these previous interviews who've done.

How did you get started with Marvel?

A friend of mine had broken his leg, I guess, and his father had bought him a gang of comic books.

It was summertime, he couldn't do anything.

So in order to have his friends come over, he would let us read his books and the first book

I ever picked up was an X-Men book and that issue Magneto had because I was

familiar with the X-Men but the earlier version of the X-Men with the you know the kind of blue and yellow suits and they all had masks on the original five and

this was a totally different take on it, which I hadn't seen before.

So I was interested.

And I opened up the book and I see that Cyclops was still down.

And I remember they made a reference to Gene Gray calling herself Phoenix and it was like,
