Hello everyone and welcome to another edition of Mormon Stories podcast. I am your host for today John D'Alene. It's May 16th

2023 and today we are covering what was I think a really important

episode of

60 minutes which is a show

broadcasted here in the United States a new show and it covered

whistleblower David Nielsen from Insign Peak kind of a little bit about his story and

about his whistleblowing of

inappropriate behaviors by Insign Peak and

how it led to an IRS both whistleblowing filing and hopefully

some sort of investigation by the IRS. In the past we have been covering

this story in various ways. There's a really important

report that I want to make sure all of you have access to and know about. It's the Widows Might Report

which attempts to break down and estimate the Mormon Church's wealth and how it uses this wealth and

you know estimates of its assets of its charitable givings etc.

then of course we have tried to cover the securities and exchange commissions

recent I don't know I'll call it a settlement with the Mormon Church where the Mormon Church paid in aggregate

we can just say five million dollars of fines or penalties for

inappropriate filings with the SEC and

the gentleman that we had back on Mormon Stories the expert that we had to talk about the SEC case

in specifically and whom we've had on
