We have come in our journey through the Psalms to the longest Psalm in the Bible. Psalm 119. If it were a chapter, technically

it's not a chapter, it's a Psalm, it's a song. But if it were a chapter, it would certainly

be the longest chapter in our Bible. 176 verses. I know that we cannot exhaust any Psalm, even if we studied for a long period of time,

but we certainly can't touch the hymn of the garment of Psalm 119,

but permit me to try to give you an overview today.

What is Psalm 119 all about?

Well, listen to the first verse.

Blessed are the undefiled in the way who walk in the law of the Lord.

There's the key. The law of the Lord. God's law. God's word.

Every verse in Psalm 119 in some way connects to the Word of God.

In fact, 174 out of 176 verses specifically reference God's Word.

Now, it uses different words for that.

It may be law or testimonies or ways or precepts or statutes or commandments.

But in some way, Psalm 119 in every verse takes us back to the Word of God.

Isn't that wonderful that the longest psalm,

this psalm of such emphasis and importance in the book of Psalms would be all about scripture.

That's very significant. Verse nine says, wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way?
