Hey, you're on air with Ella, and today we're talking about the myth of motivation. Why is it the

myth? I'll explain in just a minute. But easily, the number one question that I get asked all over

the world is about motivation. It's worded differently. Sometimes it's, how do I get and stay motivated?

I get motivated, but I have trouble sticking to it.

Why do I get so excited about a plan and then I give it up after three weeks? I want to run,

but I just can't get motivated to do so. I have the time now and I'm still not motivated to do X.

How do you stay motivated? What's the secret to lasting motivation, etc? You get the idea,

right? Like, you've asked one form of that question or another, sometime maybe even your own brain.

I know I do. Today, I want to bust some of the myths about the way we think about motivation and then

what motivation really is. The truth is it shows up in a lot

of different names. Do you know what I mean? Like sometimes we say that we are guilty of self-sabotage.

Sometimes we say that we're stuck. Sometimes we say that we're not motivated. Sometimes we say

that we're lazy. Sometimes we say that we're so, so busy. We just can't get to whatever it is we want to get to, right?

We might say something like, I'm ready to be financially responsible or cut back on my drinking or start eating like a normal person, whatever that means.

But we can't seem to sustain it. So we call that by lots of different names, but at the end of the day, we all want to know, like,

what's the secret sauce? What's the thing that I need to do? So we go to podcast or we go by the thing,
