I wanted to address something that I think has been misinterpreted a bit.

What it has to do with Aaron Jones, Carrie-Anne Johnson, and any other running back who seems

to be far outperforming as teammates while not seeing enough playing time.

There's a really interesting balance to take with this in Fantasy Football.

We need to first recognize the coaches of all the power with running backs in fantasy.

Maybe not all, but a lot of it.

If they decide to not utilize a particular runner close to the end zone, or if they want

that runner to be in a full-blown committee, then that running back becomes a lot less

valuable in Fantasy Football.

And it's all by choice.

Even if there's a consensus feeling that one player is far superior as a player than

the rest of the guys in his back field, that still might not matter.

If Mike McCarthy thinks Jamal Williams offers just as much on a football field as Aaron

Jones, then Aaron Jones loses a ton of fantasy appeal.

And that's what's happened so far in 2018.

Now where I struggle with this is that my take on the running back position in real football

is that they're not that important.
