Welcome to the perfume room. Also, happy June. Happy pride. My scent of the day today is Arquist Tropical. This is the newest launch from Arquist created by Rodrigo Floresru. Hello,

fruity floral summer. Tropical is joyful, juicy, humid, summery, refreshing, and it's pulpy.

Incredibly unique, tropical is a guava forward floral, inspired by Carlos' home in Merida, and the main

note in the scent is Champaka, which has some qualities in common with like the smell

of magnolia. It's a little similar to Jasmine, but it has this sort of like distinct bananae

aspect to it. And a fun little behind the scene story for you is that before Carlos even got

into fragrance, his signature scent

was Champaka Absolute from Tom Ford. Then some years later, he was introduced to Rodrigo

and realized immediately that his then new friend was in fact the creator of his favorite

scent. So this fragrance is personal. It not only pays homage to both Rodrigo and Carlos' Mexican roots, but to their friendship

as well.

And the result is a sort of like bananae, but juicy, slightly tart, but ultimately

like smooth and creamy, but still bright, floral.

And I will just add this.

Personally, I struggle with guava and fragrance.

I find that it typically goes in like one of two directions. It's either like too sulfuric for my

taste or it feels too similar to a flavor. Like it feels like it could be like a gum or like a

vape cartridge. Tropical is perfumi. And if this

sounds good to you, I highly recommend you try it. I was generously gifted a sample. You can order
