He said he was a screen actor, a film director, an art aficionado, a physicist, a seafaring

captain, a financier, and a member of the British aristocracy.

The truth was, he was none of these things, with possibly the exception of being an actor.

In a sense, that is what he spent nearly his entire adult life doing, acting, but it

was never for film or television, no, it wasn't that kind of acting.

The kind of acting this man was somewhat masterful at, is known as something else, being

an imposter.

He lived an inauthentic life as a pretender, a charlatan, a grifter.

He was drawn to all the finer things in life, the high society, money, wealth, status, and

the more bombastic the better, and he would never even attempt to earn it on his own.

He jumped from country to country, state to state, city to city, and name to name, in

order to con, deceive, cheat, and double cross anybody taken by his charm, and he would

go to any links to ensure his secrets were kept, even murder.

This is the tale of the Rockefeller that never was.
