Thanks so much for joining me today.

One of the themes in the New Testament is putting on and putting off.

Putting off seems to be the thing that comes first and this is our daily exercise, this is a mentality,

this is a frame of mind and spirit. It's a way that we obey God. So let me look

through some of these verses that refer to this putting on and putting off.

Romans 1312, cast off works of darkness.

Put on armor of light. All right, this cast off. This is strong. Throw it off. Throw it away.

And what is it? We're throwing off, casting off works of darkness. Okay, sin.

Put on armor of light. Put on, in verse 14, the Lord Jesus Christ.

And also in Galatians 327, put on Christ. So we're putting

off darkness, we're putting off sin and we're putting on light.

We're putting on the Lord Jesus.

That is a wonderful picture of how we are to live in Christ.

Glacians 327 also says put on Christ. Glacians 327 also says put on Christ.

Ephesians 424, put on the new man.

Aren't we so grateful for a new, the newness of being a Christian, we put off the old

man, we put on a new man in the image of Christ.

And this verse goes on to say, in true righteousness and holiness.

This is such a great picture for us to be thinking of, you know, throughout the day, no, I'm putting

that off. Something comes into your mind, no, I'm putting that off. I'm putting something
