Today on the show we'll be discussing the relationship between Halloween and horror and I'm

joined by three guests.

So first up we've got Lisa Morton.

She's the president of the Horror Writers Association and the author of numerous books, stories and screenplays,

including the Stoker Award-winning stories tested and The Lucid Dreaming.

Her short story, She's sexy Pirate Girl appears in the recent Halloween anthology October Dreams

too, and she's also the author of the non-fiction books The Halloween Encyclopedia and

trick-or-tree, a History of Halloween.

And also joining us today is best-selling author, editor, and filmmaker John Skitt, who's one of the directors of the new holiday feature film

Tales of Halloween.

He was part of the Splatterpunk Wave of the 80s, and his 1989 anthology Book of the Dead

played a huge role in popularizing zombie literature.

His short story The Spirit of Things appears in October Dreams too, and he's also editor-in-chief of Fun Gazum

press.

His newest book is The Art of Horrible People.
