1:03.6 | Sure. I spent the majority of my life just being kind of like the standard American girl. |
1:11.2 | My dad was an ER doctor, My mom was a stay-at-home mom. I was part of the |
1:16.4 | got milk generation, so I had a glass of milk every day. But that was kind of the |
1:20.1 | extent of my nutritional awareness, and I carried that with me into college. |
1:25.1 | I'd seen my mom go on diet after diet and I was just under the impression that as long |
1:30.0 | as I was eating a little bit less than what I was exerting every day that I would be healthy. |
1:36.8 | Then I served a mission for my church and I did not have the luxury of eating whatever I wanted |
1:42.2 | and getting to exercise the way that I wanted to. |
1:44.9 | And I ended up gaining 35 pounds on my mission and the majority of the time I was eating |
1:50.1 | fried chicken, rice, tons of processed food, sodium, just like all these things that made me feel so awful. |
1:57.8 | So I came home feeling like a balloon, super bloated, I was like, I'm going vegetarian for a a month like I want nothing to do with me I just want vegetables. |
