Thanks for joining me today.

I thought today I would do a little brush up on some principles, marriage principles,

for wives.

So mainly this is going to be about when, how to seek counsel.

If you're finding yourself in an emotional funk or feeling exceptionally critical of

your husband, here are a few questions for you before you seek out some marriage counseling.

And I'm not saying you shouldn't seek out marriage counseling.

I'm just saying, here's a few things, a few reminders.

And if they help and you don't need counseling, well, that's great.

You sort of counseled yourself.

If that's not the case and things are not going well, then for sure, of course, seek help.

But we can get into our own head sometimes and make things far worse than they really are

by reviewing the husband's faults, his failures, and being a harsh judge.

If you think you need marriage counseling, ask your husband if he would be willing.

Don't run out in front without conferring.

And maybe this will motivate him to give more attention to the state of affairs in your marriage.

So first, women, do a little review of your duties.

What are your duties as a Christian wife?

Are you demonstrating respect for your husband?

Are you honoring him?
