This is very special episode, we have three cozy Christmas time ghost stories, because there is

nothing better than curling up on a chilly day with a good mystery.

Our first story, this is the neighbor.

Evan first noticed her because of the dog.

Every morning, just after sunrise, Margaret walked past his house with Oliver, her golden

retriever, trotting happily at her side. It was Christmas time and the street was always quiet then.

Garlands hung from porch rails. Reath swayed in the wind and the smell of fireplaces lingered in the

air. Oliver's coat caught the winter light no matter the wind, and the smell of fireplaces lingered in the air.

He wagged his tail at everyone, like he was greeting old friends instead of strangers.

Margaret always waved. She must have been in her 80s and was more active than most 40-year-olds on the block. She wore soft sweaters and knitted scarves, sometimes red, sometimes green, and she always looked

unhurried, as if she had nowhere else she needed to be. Evan didn't know her well, but he began to

look for them anyway. Their routine became a part of his

morning. Sometimes Oliver would pause in front of Evan's fence, sitting politely waiting for pets.

Evan would chuckle and Margaret would call him along her voice calm and affectionate. Margaret and

Oliver, the two were quite the pair.

Then one winter afternoon just days before Christmas,

their routine broke.
