Let's take compassion.

Okay.

And we speak of it almost like it's an emotion.

Like something happens and I have this feeling.

Right.

Whereas I think he's speaking about it.

And I think we also see in our tradition, it's spoken more of as like a measure.

Like in other words, you are not a sadu unless you have compassion.

It must be seen there.

You know, you are not, I think in alignment with what you're saying,

you cannot really be considered wise unless you have compassion.

And we say, unless you have compassion, there's no question that you have Bhakti.

Because as I think we're discussing this yesterday,

they're kind of two sides of the same coin, right?

It's what we call it Prama or Bhakti,

when that soft heart is facing Krishna,

and you take that and you turn it around and you face it at the rest of the world.

And that same soft heart, or you could say that same emotion

manifests as compassion and so in our tradition this is spoken about it in detail that compassion is a

must it's not an arbitrary thing it's not a nice quality that an evolved person may have.

It's like it's a measure of an evolved person.

If you don't have it, you haven't really understood life yet.
