Hello and welcome to the show, I'm Stuart Goldsmith, and today I'm very pleased to be talking to a brilliant comedian, a very fabulous, very warm person, and someone who wears her heart on a sleeve and as a result of some a little kind of a catch-up chappy and I hadn't seen each other for a while so

just before this was recorded we had a really lovely piece of toast and an equally lovely quite in-depth chat about life and where it's all going.

So that's, you know, I just don't want you to think that the fact that we leapt right in

at the deep end at the start of this is due to any other reason

than we were getting along famously and were already at, we hit the ground running as soon as we hit record.

So ladies and gentlemen, this is the absolutely fabulous Shappy Corsandi. because I've always described stand-up comedy as my second chance at the playground

and my yellow brick road. I've always seen it as a yellow brick road that no matter what, no matter what failure, what pain, what humiliation, what doors are slammed in my face I will stay on this road and not fear away from it and I

feel lucky that I had that feeling because I think you need to have that feeling to make

a living from something that you can't not do. It's a compulsion isn't it stand up yeah I think so yeah it's a

compulsion and then when I don't do it for a while I'm horrible like I went to Myanmar with my partner and my kids and when I

came back I was amazing I went to my and my own mom flipping egg we I just saw

incredible things I've not really travelled unless it's

with stand-up and doing overseas gigs.
