featuring surfboard shaper, Jeff McCallum.

Jeff McCallum builds boards in San Diego, California with an unwavering focus on

quality. Quality is a word that really gets thrown around pretty frivolously in surfboard building.

So Jeff explains what exactly constitutes quality, its costs and how to scale it with the growth

of a business. I've never actually ridden one of Jeff's surfboards, but they are a marvel to look at.

for more of the surfboard shaper interviews they are coming they were a huge part of surf splendor

when I started the show four years ago it was really an integral part actually a monthly format so

I've been remiss to not maintain a very regular schedule of Shaper interviews.

Board builders are one of the very few jobs that inform every single surfers experience.

We can't surf without surfboards, obviously.
