Today's expression, very similar to a few days ago.

It is in for a bumpy ride.

Do you remember we studied smooth sailing?

And then we studied On the Rocks. Well, On the Rocks would be similar to in for a bumpy ride. Okay? So if you are in for a bumpy

ride, that means the journey you are on will be very uncomfortable. It might even be dangerous. It will not be smooth. It will not be

easy. So a great example would be at the office. You get a new boss and the boss is scary. Oh boy,

the boss comes to work at five in the morning and leaves work at 9 o'clock at night.

And it's very, very, you know, serious boss, no sense of humor.

And it's just terrible. You could say, oh, my God, the future will not be fun.

We are in for a bumpy ride.

This is not going to be fun.

Another situation could be like something that's happening right now in the United States.

Now, this is October 2014, and everybody is familiar with the Ebola virus.

Very scary, very horrible virus that started in West Africa.

I feel so sorry for everybody who is a victim of this disease. The virus at this point has also come to Spain and the United States.

And right now, the state of Texas, we could say, may be in for a bumpy ride.

It might be a very serious time for lots of people in Texas because perhaps that virus has gone from one, two, three people to other people where how far that

virus has gone.
