Hello everyone welcome back to Fit Body Happy Joins. My name is Shannon. I want to talk to you today

0:06.0

about why you may feel like you're doing everything right and not losing weight.

0:10.8

If you followed me you know I'm not a weight loss coach and Evelo is not a weight loss program. But I do

0:17.1

want to educate on this because I feel like there's a lot of frustration and

0:20.5

misunderstanding around this and I want you to feel empowered that you're using your energy in ways that are going to be productive if weight loss is a goal of yours.

One of my biggest frustrations I hear from friends and family who are trying to lose weight is something along the lines of I'm working out you know

1:21.5

signals via hormones that I need more fuel.

1:24.5

It's very difficult for me to control that right now and I'm often not super satisfied by

1:29.3

what I eat and I kind of feel like a bottomless pit. So listen, this is not to gass like you and say

1:35.2

that your hormones are not real or they aren't very difficult

1:39.1

to overcome the drive to overeat or to not feel satisfied or whatever it may be.

1:45.0

So although hormones are absolutely a strong influence in our behavior, they don't negate the laws of

1:50.5

thermodynamics which say that for weight loss energy out has to be greater than energy in.

1:56.1

You have to burn more than you eat.
