I'm here with Timothy Gordon and we're here to talk about the youth Senate that's going on in Rome. It ends next week and a lot of people have questions on what is this youth Senate? What's being talked about? There's a lot of talk about LGBT in

exclusivity in the language for the first time ever in the Catholic Church

being used at this youth Senate and then we're also going to discuss what could be some outcomes from this

youth Senate also how it relates to the coverage of the Catholic scandals all over the

world but in particular to the United States. Timothy, welcome back.

Morning. Thank you. This you've scented, these synods in general are becoming a

popular and important feature of Pope Francis's pontificate.

What do you think about that?

I think it's very interesting.

We open with the idea that that synids have been recently, very recently,

magisterially improved upon, we have the synod 2.0 from the perspective of

there's the suggestion now we don't know how this works magisterially that they

they more change can be made more immediately by

Senate's than before this is a change made like what was it a month and a half

six weeks before the Senate five, six weeks.

So the fact that we're seeing the third Senate in a five-year pontificate is interesting.

At the very least, you have to say it seems to be the means by which

change is going to happen and and sort of did happen if you look back at the

the family sentenceates that happened, the extraordinary one in 2014

and then the ordinary one in 2015,

they were curious in their implementation in what eventually

with Amorous Latizia, but there definitely there's a there's a plan in place.
