Welcome to day two of this deep dive into the Ten Commandments.

0:24.7

We're going to pick it up in chapter 20 versus four through seven. You shall not make for

0:31.2

yourselves a carved image or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above or that is in the earth beneath,

1:41.2

the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life. And so are there things in your life that your feelings take over and you know God says don't do this, but you do it

1:49.5

anyway? You could idolize things like food or comfort or sex, are you? The lust of the eyes is when

1:55.8

we set our eyes on the things of this world. Do you idolize money or possessions or stuff?

2:03.3

Or sometimes we actually idolize ourselves.

2:05.7

This is rooted in the pride of life, where we are just trying to make a name for

2:09.4

ourselves, even though we follow a Savior that says, if you want to be first, then go last.
