Summary

#170: You can live a rich life and leave a rich legacy at the same time. Guest Rachel Jensen and I discuss how.

Timber is a hard asset that physically grows in size, and often grows in value at the same time.

Your real estate, gold, or stock share might increase in value - but it doesn't increase in size at the same time like timber does.

Among timber varieties, you've probably heard of teak wood but might not know much about it. It has great value due to its durability.

Teak's natural oils make it resistant to fire, pests, and the elements. That's why teak is so popular for boats, decking, furniture, and more. Teak was even used on The Titanic!

The world continues to have more humans and less arable land. Teak products have been used for over 300 years. This makes teak supply vs. demand fundamentals sound for investors.

Traditionally, most timber investing was done by ultra-wealthy people, and prestigious Ivy League endowment funds like Harvard and Yale (they both still invest in timber).

Today you'll learn about how everyday investors can invest in teak parcels:

  • Land titled to you that can appreciate in value.
  • Divided 1/4-acre parcels where you get income from the teak harvest.
  • Low cost of entry.
  • Available inventory at this time.
  • Turnkey-managed.
  • Light taxation.
  • Use with cash or IRA funds.
  • Optional qualification for a residency program.
  • Ability to gain both shorter-term income for yourself, and a legacy for others.

You'll learn that our provider offers Get Rich Education followers like you a discount per parcel for a limited time.

cash flows sustainably through direct

0:56.7

real estate investing. We also talk here about living a rich life, having passive income that

1:03.3

basically just allows you to buy life back that would otherwise be lost at work. Well,

what if you could invest in something that can help you live a rich life

1:12.3

yourself and at the same time leave a rich legacy for others? And that's what we're talking about

1:18.7

today. On Get Rich Education, we talk to you about directly investing in a hard asset or a cash

flowing asset or both a hard cash flowing asset.

1:31.6

We've discussed how you can be an agricultural real estate investor and directly own your

own parcels of coffee and cacao trees. It grows and you receive income from the harvest

while the land can appreciate at the same time,

and that way you're also completely diversified from the United States residential real estate market.

Now, one thing that we don't talk about very much here is something like gold.

1:56.2

It's a hard asset that's had value for centuries.

1:59.8

Gold is a loose proxy for inflation, and gold is

2:03.4

certainly interesting to discuss, but see, gold doesn't pay you any income. It has almost zero

2:09.5

utility, and it also doesn't physically grow, like physically get larger. Now, timber, that's an investment, hardwood timber that physically grows.

2:21.3

All right. So if you went to your hiding place and you checked on your 10 ounce gold bar last year,

2:29.0

and then you looked at it again today here a year later, well, your 10 ounce gold bar did not grow into 11 ounces.
