Today I thought I would talk a little about flexibility.

Flexibility is being able to bend without breaking, not being stiff or rigid.

And of course we know physically what that is like. Like we can bend over, we might even be able to touch our toes.

We can stretch, we can bend without breaking, we're not stiff and sore, and spiritually it means being

just willing to adapt to change and adjusting to new circumstances.

This is a trait that I think we women need all our lives long because

our lives are subject to so many changes, right?

I mean, the seasons change every year, the seasons of our lives change, and so what

is it that enables us to be flexible women? I believe it's our faith in God. And in order to maintain flexibility,

we have to exercise our faith.

Practice stretching our faith,

applying our faith to each new circumstance as it comes. Why? Because we know God has ordained

everything that comes to pass for our good and his glory. When changes come, we trust him to work it for good,

and that is our faith.

When do we need to be flexible?

Well, I would say, when do we not need to be flexible? I mean, every day brings changes.

Every day brings challenges. And so I want to look at Paul, who seemed to be just an amazingly flexible soul and here's just

one scriptural example that includes many examples from Paul's life from 2

Corinthians 11. Just a few verses starting with 24. He says from the Jews five

times I received 40 stripes minus one.
