I'm honored to have spent an hour this week in the company of David Harewood, renowned actor,

documentarian and director.

And we began by chatting about the thing that's on everybody's lips.

Bloody lockdown.

How's your lockdown? Cuy?

Um, creeping back into sort of, you know, meetings and it's been lovely and still and quiet

and I, it's been, you know, I must admit I kind of enjoyed it early on just having the piece to just sort of remember to be a dad and a husband and I've just been so busy traveling and acting and you know doing meetings and stuff so it was

a real joy just to stop and I really enjoyed it I really enjoyed it now you know I'm starting to get a bit restless and

suddenly finding that it's all flooding in a book deal I'm trying to negotiate on documentaries I'm trying to

pit you know so it's all exploding again but that's great

calm it all down and just remember the last eight weeks, how joyous the last

last eight weeks have been personal.

Some, it's interesting isn't it that it takes a global pandemic to give the self-employed

permission to stop I can't imagine any other circumstance in which hustlers such as

myself and yourself would just go oh no no, all right, I'm going to stop packing at the coal face now and just take it easy.

Well, I guess we're lucky, you know, we're lucky that we're in that bracket that can we can survive

sort of sit back and you know you I mean I've been tweeting furiously

about this this you know the theater shut down and just I mean I can't imagine what that must be like if you're a you know you work in front of house or you're a ward in wardrobe or you're a designer or it just must be hell.

That's the thing.

When you tweet about theatre or in my case I'll tweet about the loss of today's news was that

potentially 77% of comedy venues face closure. He tweeted about that and there's a certain, albeit small

section of the population that will go, oh you lefty loveies or and you're right, it's then you have to point
