My name is Aubrey, and I currently live in Indonesia.

I do online ministry full-time, and I'm just super passionate about people's stories.

I feel like every single person walking in the earth has a story to tell,

and if you have the courage to share your story, it will automatically encourage others to share those as well. Plus, the gospel is found amidst our stories. So I'm a speaker, a writer, and I

lead worldwide retreats, and they are based around storytelling and walking out of shame and an adventure

and just being sent back strong. We all have those hard seasons, those rock bottom places,

and I was thinking about like, what do I share? Because God has brought me through some things.

I experienced sexual abuse as a child, sexual assault working in a permiscuous industry,

an abusive relationship, and the list continues. And so there's just been so many things that God

has brought me through. But since I live in the number one destination in the world, Bali,

I felt like I should chair this season just because so many people think, oh, she lives on an

island, it's tropical, like her life must be perfect. She's traveling the world. Like, she shouldn't

be complaining about anything. But the truth is, you can be living in the most beautiful place in the

world and still hit rock bottom and have hard times. I came to Bali out of obedience after God

asked me to. I honestly did not want to move here. I know it sounds crazy, but I was super

comfortable. I lived in Texas and I had just bought a home. And usually when you're comfortable,

that's when the Lord says it's time to move, or that's how it works for me anyways.

And also I was very single, which makes things a little bit easier, you know?

So anyways, I moved to Bali. I was 31.
