Today we're discussing the best

teams never to have secured silverware. It's me, it's Tom Linson, it's doogie, it's the

Critchley is taking over for facts with Raffaabinitis. Okay, I'm kicking us off today and I'm talking about the Netherlands for mine,

1974 in particular, so we are going back a fair old wow.

Now to understand Netherlands at the World Cup in 1974, I think you've got to be able to understand

some of the context and some of the history, some of the history some of the politics that surrounded the

Netherlands in the build-up to that time period. This is a time period I know very well.

I did my dissertation on Iax and culture and society in the 1960s and 70s in Holland. So this and did a lot of interviews a bit of a bit of a bit of research it was

proper research though I wasn't just out there yes on the lash oh yeah

on the lash so let's let's go back to Iax because that is really the basis of this great Dutch team of the 70s

obviously Iax one of the founding fathers of total football and, Michelle's and Johann Croy.
