You probably don't need someone to tell you that U.S. media outlets are in a deep crisis. According to the Pew Research Center,

circulation for daily newspapers has been on the decline for the past three decades. In 2016,

ad revenue for the industry was just one-third of what it was a decade earlier.

While high-profile outlets like the New York Times and The Washington Post have boasted about soaring subscriptions in the age of Trump,

the story for the industry as a whole has been one of consolidation, layoffs, buyouts, and decline. The winners in this new media

climate? Google, Facebook, and Twitter, which are the new primary targets for ad revenue.
