And I'm Elsa. We live together in a 13-foot scamp trailer with our dog camp in the American wilderness.

Greetings. Welcome back to the Normal to nomad podcast. Today, you just get me.

Elsa's out of town, so it's just me doing a solo podcast. And I've never done this before so bear with me hopefully it'll be

bearable to start out there's a lot going on culturally and like in the

United States and worldwide right now and a lot of people ask us why we don't talk

about these things or our opinions on them and

honestly I struggle a lot with that I do have a lot to say and I have a lot of

thoughts on the course of things and even politics and all those types of areas

but we do our best to stay in our lane

and not go into those things

because a lot of people just find peace

in the things that we're doing in our videos and content.

And a lot of it too is that I don't wanna polarize people further.

So if there is somebody who has, I don't know, whatever radical views

that are more radical than mine, one way or the other, I don't want to push them away,

coming out and saying one thing, because people are so hypersensitive in this day and age

that it's hard to say anything really of substance without

turning a portion of the population away. And I think it's possible for the things that we do

and our subtlety to resonate with people without having to come out and say exactly what

we believe politically or as far as different topics go.
