spent the better part of four days trying to humiliate Judge Katanji Brown Jackson,

trying to impeach her character, and in the process, of course,

they only humiliated themselves and impeached themselves.

We knew this would happen. We knew they would resort to racism.

We knew they would attempt to misrepresent Jackson's record and cast doubts upon her character.

But because Jackson is unimpeachable, they had nothing else to work with.

She's infinitely stronger, smarter, and more accomplished than any of the media of the Republicans,

who alternately questioned, attacked, and maligned her.

We need to remember the position Judge Jackson was in,

not an impossible one, but an unconscionable one.

Remember Breck Havanaugh, the guy who was credibly accused of sexual assault

by more than one woman, charges that have never even been investigated.

He whined and snarled his way through his hearing.

He didn't just push back against his interlocutors.

He treated them with sneering contempt.

Even if Judge Jackson had the luxury of behaving the same way,

it's impossible to imagine any circumstances in which she would have.

She's too fine a person.

But the point is that she just not have this luxury.
