Hello, I'm Alicia McCarthy, and this is today in Parliament from BBC Radio 4 for Wednesday

the 17th of December, where there's little festive cheer at the year's final PMQs.

Kemi Badenock says Kier Stama's cabinet is

A bunch of turkeys, they could fit right in in a Burden Matthews factory. But the Prime Minister

reckons conservatives are deserting Kemi Badernock for Reform UK. The defections are happening so fast

that at Christmas, the leader of the opposition, is going to be left home

alone. Also on this programme, a proposed trial of puberty blockers on children arouses passions

among MPs. The Health Secretary calls for unity. There is a shared determination of everyone,

I believe, in this House, to do the right thing by a vulnerable group of children and young people.

But first, it was the last Prime Minister's questions of the year

and the Conservative leader Kemi Badenok used it to attack Zakir Stama's record in government

and brand his cabinet a bunch of turkeys.

In response, the Prime Minister reeled off a list of things

he said his ministers had achieved and highlighted the number of defections from the Tories to

reform UK. Kemi Badenok began her questions by quoting something Sakeir Stama had said

when he appeared before a committee of senior MPs at the start of the week.

It is the Prime Minister's second Christmas in Downing Street, and by his own admission,

he's not in control. He says nothing happens when he pulls the levers.
