Enjoy the show. You know, you know, Two years ago, I moved to the UK to study at university.

I've always wanted to go there and get away from my parents as the situation at home

was beginning to become too toxic for me. In my first year at

university, I moved into student accommodation and met some really great people. It was a good year,

but I hadn't met my boyfriend quite yet. I did eventually, and I'm still with him, but during this time

in my life, I was just enjoying my

time away from my family and discovering what independence truly meant since I was on my own

for the first time. On the second year, I decided, with some friends, to move into a house rented

through student accommodations.

Things felt a little different with this living arrangement since we were going to have our own house,

and there weren't going to be so many noise restrictions.

We had a lot in our small, shared flat the first year.

This seemed like it was going to be good for parties as well.

Now, I had a room on the ground floor, and my window faced a very small backyard in which I would go smoke every day.

From the backyard, there was a very thin wooden door that led out to the side of the street, where we would put our bins and discard anything else that we needed to get rid of.

The door could only be closed and locked from the inside of the backyard, but since it was an old door,

we had attached some strings to it to secure it a little more and keep it closed for good.

We had neighbors on each side of the house, and we were surrounded by families
