Professor Martin was a prominent Egyptologist who led many excavations in royal and non-royal tombs. Among his many, many projects,

Professor Martin supervised the discovery and excavation of Hormheb's private tomb at Sakara.

He also led the re-excavation of Hormeb's royal tomb in the Valley of the Kings.

Professor Martin was, beyond doubt, the leading expert on Horamheb's burial monuments and

his career.

Professor Martin died on the 7th of March 2022.
