Scottish rock band Frightened Rabbit.

Plus we'll review a soundtrack that's in big contention at the Oscars

Slumdog Millionaire.

You're listening to sound opinions and now it's time to welcome our newest

affiliates. Yes Jim it is that time and we have a flood of new affiliates this week

to welcome KDLJ in Dillingham, Alaska, tri-State Public Radio in Macomb, Illinois, and the nine stations

of New Jersey Public Radio.

Now normally we like to play a song that is representative of the areas we're joining.

And unfortunately, we can't play songs from all of these areas so we had to focus on just one this time.

Well New Jersey wins out because let's face it it's got the most muscle and there's nine stations

okay and really New Jersey Public Radio covers the entire

state from Sussex County in the very north all the way down to the tip of Cape

May in the south now as a child of Jersey City New Jersey I have never been hesitant to play a lot of New Jersey

music on this show. I've wax-strapsotic about the Fealies and the Bongo's, some of the bands that

were important to me in Hudson County in Hoboken growing up.
