Hi, I'm Katie. And I'm Erin. And you're listening to Rope Drop and Park Hop. Hello.

0:11.7

Hi, everybody. Coming to you are last week from the recording studio as we know it. Right. As we know it.

0:18.4

I'm curious what they're going to do. We asked last week.

0:21.0

They didn't seem to have much info. No. It's funny. There's a new guy that works here. And we, I mean, how long have we been doing this now? Three years? Three and a half years every Tuesday. Here we are. And usually we just walk in and say hello and walk right up the stairs through the last like three weeks.

0:37.8

He's been the one at the desk.

0:39.4

And every time we walk in, he's like, hey, what brings you here? We're like, the podcast studio. And he'll be like rummaging around and what do you need? And here's your SD card. And we're like, no, we have our own. We're good. And the very first week he was here, we walked in. And he's like, you know, what brings you here? And I was like, oh, we have the podcast or studio reserved. And he, oh, let me find that real quick. And I'm like, no, you don't need to do it. Yes. He wanted to look it up on the computer. Make sure we're legit. Yes. But even today, it's week three that we've seen him and he's still, what brings you in here? Same thing. And we said, the podcast studio and he goes, oh, that's right. So we have him trained now and we're going to go on hiatus for a month. Maybe he will. And we even tried talking to him last week about what they're doing to the podcast studio. So you'd think that he would recognize us and remember us. Did I ever tell

1:28.3

you about, so one of my jobs, one of my 18,000 jobs that I have, I work for, have I said the name?

1:35.9

Have I said it on here? Or do I just say a nationally recognized dental brand? It's up to you.

1:41.8

I'm not sure if I said it before. I feel like you've said it in passing before.

1:46.1

I work for Waterpick. I work for the Waterpick company. I'm an independent contractor.

1:50.4

My title is professional educator. I go to dental offices, take them lunch and teach them about

1:56.2

water picks. But I take them lunch. And I often, in the wintertime, so starting up here pretty soon, I'll grab

2:02.8

Olive Garden, I'll do soup salad and breadsticks. And I've had this job for eight years and

2:07.8

probably six of those have been grabbing soup salad and breadsticks at Olive Garden and there's a

2:15.8

hostess at the Boise Olive Garden who I mean

2:19.5

three years into it I was brand new every single time I walked in and she'd walk I'd walk in and same

2:25.3

thing she'd be like hi can I help you and I was like I'm just getting some to go every single time

2:30.2

and she's always like and what's the name and I'm like it's Aaron it still Aaron. And it's like literally I would see her at least once a week, 52 weeks out of the year for three, four years. And she had zero recognition when I would walk in. That's funny. I know. It always made me chuckle. I had a fun birthday weekend. In case you were wondering. I was wondering. Thanks for telling me. We just talked about it a little bit before we hit record. But I was going to tell you about our amazing animal adventure we had with my boys on Sunday night. This is why I don't like Idaho. Right. One of the reasons. The great outdoors. Yeah. Not Aaron's favorite. No. There's this really cool spot in southern Idaho just outside my hometown. I don't even know if I want to tell you where it is because I don't want it to get overrun. Keep it secret. Nobody from Australia come and go to this place. It's very, I don't understand why it's so quietly hidden. If this is in Utah, it'd be overrun with people. It'd be a nationally protected area. Really? Really? And they'd be

3:25.6

charging admission. That's a very cool spot. Okay. But we take the little side by side up there and it's,

3:32.5

they're rock formations, but they're made out of limestone. So they're very soft and like you can

3:38.5

rub your hand on it and the powder just kind of falls off of them. Oh. So hiking around in there, it's powder soft sand on the ground, almost like a beach. Okay. Even powderier than a beach sand would be. Very cool. You could almost ski down the hill. After you hike up, you could ski down. Anyway, we ran into a rattler. And I don't know. I mean, I probably seen them. For people who don't live in Idaho, that's a rattlesnake. A rattlesnake, yes. I don't even know if I've seen many in real life. My dad was bitten by a rattlesnake. He was a teenager, yes. They were ranchers when he was growing up. So they had cattle. And he was out on the ranch and found a

4:14.6

rattlesnake and his 16-year-old self cut the head off the rattlesnake with a shovel and then went to pick it up. And it was still alive and it bit him on the hand. And they were still bite after the head is disconnected. So there's your public service announcement. Don't pick up a dead rattlesnake because you never know.
