Hello, thank you for downloading the Ellis James and John Robbins show podcast,

interesting show today, because we were unable to broadcast from new broadcasting house as we do

usually, because of the Olympics, so the initial plan was we were going to go to John's house in

Buckinghamshire and we're all going to be there, but unfortunately, John's in feeling very

well this morning, so I was in South London, John was at his house heroically, doodifully

carrying on and Dave was in London, so John is not very well, we had slight tech problems,

but I thought we dealt with them tremendously professionally, Dave, what do you think?

With a plomb, I think is the two words, APL O M B, that's it, exactly that with a plomb,

you know, like a finisher, you just know when they're given an opportunity in the box,

they're going to bury it, you're Robbie Fowler, you're Les Ferdinand's, you're Alan Sheeran's,

you know, sure, fine, John at one stage had a power cut and they had to be sick into a little

bowl, but that wasn't on air, thankfully, him being sick into a little bowl and the power cut

actually coincided, so we didn't hear any of that awful business, by the way, John, if you're listening,

best wishes, hope you get better soon. Oh yeah.

We've had some great texts and emails in though, to agree this, Hyol, my dad Andy,

big fan of the show, has had an unopened 10 of sardines since the mid 70s.

He was told by a friend that they improved with age, so he was lovingly kept so at home ever

since. What he felt to do was keep a controlled 10 of sardines that he could have opened at some

point in 1995 to test the theory, that is the unnecessarily proud owner of these

showding sardines, that once both a delicious tin of yummier old fish and entirely unpalatable,

potentially explosive metal coffin of unpleasantness thanks Simon. That's, I mean, sardines
