Hey there! Welcome to the Lazy Genius Podcast. I'm Kendra Adachi and I'm here to help

0:07.1

you be a genius about the things that matter and lazy about the things that don't.

0:12.8

Today, well today's episode we have all been waiting for, how to go back to school,

0:19.0

so in a regular year, it's an important question, like still, transitioning from summer to school

0:24.3

routine, it's a legitimate thing. But this year, I mean, well clearly we don't have a lot to

0:29.9

say about this year. So how do we go back to school when we don't even know what that looks like?

0:36.0

So our county, like where I live, still doesn't have answers, like as of recording this.

0:41.2

There are ideas and possibilities and scenarios, but nothing that's definite yet. So how in the

0:47.6

1:12.3

systems and permission to help you in difficult situations, that does not mean this is easy.

1:18.7

No matter what you leave this episode with, no matter how helpful it is, hopefully this is still a

1:26.3

really hard situation. I think when things are challenging, we assume that solutions take the

1:32.7

challenge away and that's just not always the case. The harder the situation, the more we crave

1:40.7

solutions to solve the problem, right, to make it disappear. But that's just not reality.

1:47.3

So not to be an e-wear right out of the gate, but I think we all need to prepare ourselves for this

1:52.5

season being a difficult one. We will do our best to focus on what matters in our own lives

1:59.5

and maybe even create some systems to support it. But even when that's in place, be kind to yourself.

2:07.9

This is a hard season. It's normal for you to not know what to do next sometimes. It's normal

2:15.9

for you to feel overwhelmed. It's normal for you to want to throw out every system that you created
