All right, advice on shared dog custody post-divorce. Okay, my first question is, how many years does the dog have left?

Okay, that's my first question.

I know no one wants to think about it.

We all want our pets to live forever, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

Get real.

How much time does the dog have left?

Was this like still a new puppy?

Like, this is going to be a 10 year situation?

Here's what I have to say. I would rather kill myself than have to deal with this.

If I start dating someone who's sharing a pet with their ex, I'm like, no. That's, you guys need to

figure out who has the pet and who doesn't. Okay, that should be

decided when you buy the pet, okay? Put this shit in your pre-nups, all right? But whole, this is,

I know I'm going to get flack. I don't have a pet, so it's like, okay, oh, what do you know about? Oh,

you don't know the love for a dog and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Listen, all of you that say my dogs are like children, well, then guess what, treat them

like children, get a lawyer, and go to a custody battle.

That's all I'm going to say about this situation is figure it out because I cannot imagine

I'm with my husband at our kids' birthday party and he has to leave to go pick up his dog from his ex and leaves me

with a bunch of screaming two-year-olds running around because it's our week to have the dog.
