The Coach's Corner, Part 1 is what we're calling it. Jim, Matt, joining me, Kai, in the studio via Zoom. Fellas, how are you doing? Yeah, we got to leave it open for sequels. You know, we can't, we don't want to call it Coach's Corner because then, you know, we don't want to back ourselves into a corner. But we had a blast. We had a few guys on and we're riding the high off of that. Matt, are you feeling as good as me? Yeah, I just feel smarter, Jim. You know, I just, I just basically got drowned with three of the most intelligent college basketball minds in the game. So I'm ready to pick up a clipboard and go out there and drawn up some plays for this hypothetical team I'm going to coach this summer, I guess. If I were a recruit

and just like the amount of coaches that are intelligent and have good things to say and

like can sell you, I'd be like, well, I just committed to eight programs today. Yeah. Yeah, it was

an awesome experience. We interviewed Bob Richie from

Furman, Craig Smith from Utah State, and Todd Golden from San Francisco. As Matt said, three of the

most intelligent coaches we think in the country, three of the very best at the mid-major level.

I'm sure all of them are in line for higher major jobs down the road. All very great people. It was, they were all very courteous with their time. We had an awesome time interviewing them. Yeah, if you turned off the clock, we could have just gone for hours with all of them. Absolutely. All three. But as Jim said, we do want to have more coaches on. So this is Coach's Corner Part 1.

Yes, that would be the key motivation for this. It's a precarious time to choose to really emphasize video guys. Like, we haven't looked this bad as a collective in quite some time. Jim, he looks presentable. How dare you? My self-haircut turned out. Yeah, Jim actually looks pretty solid. I'm going to have to admit. But me and Kai have seen better days. We just have a chance to, it's a great reveal when we get improved in our looks when the quarantine goes away. We can have like a, wow, a glam. The transformation of Madden Kai. We're going to go in detail on that, do we? Nah, we don't. Not really. Yeah. But Jim does have a new piece on the site, though. He picked out 15 breakout guys for next year using a pretty cool, well, I'll say formula, but it was really just a criteria. And I thought it was an awesome article, Jim. You just want to give us a brief overview of that? Yeah. So I kind of just started with the hypothesis of like how many guys go or the question of how many guys go from basically nobody, so less than five points a game, to double-digit scores greater than 10. And last year there were 16 in the high major leagues, which seemed like a kind of reasonable number.

So I just went out and tried to find 15 guys that'll do it this year.

And it's harder than you think, especially because a lot of the guys have usage jumps, and it's hard to predict that.
