I'm James Dyer and welcome to 2022! It may be the new year, but don't worry, it is

the same old Pilot TV podcast and we have no intention of letting you go bumbling into

the streaming jungle of the new year without us, your trusty, television showers to guide

you through it. And speaking of which, both of my Pilot TV colleagues return bright

eyed and bushy tailed for this first show of the new year, Legendary TV Pundit Boyd Hilton

and newly minted Empire News Editor, Beth Webb. Beth, how was your first week on the job?

It's been everything I expected, it's been completely honest, but I sat in a meeting

this morning to hear about the first trap monsters from the Bobba Fett series. I was like,

I am exactly where I'm supposed to be right now. Oh yes, yes. Yes, so it has been absolutely

every single thing that I expected to be in the best possible way. We begin all our days with

discussion of Gomorrian Gods, that's generally how it goes. How about both of your Christmases,

boy, boy, new years, who, what famous is were you partying with to bring in the new year?

No one really that famous started to disappoint you, yeah, I had a very quiet civilised new year.

I think the problem with famous is, right, is I've learnt this over the years, is that

they all go away at Christmas, just a new year. They all go to the Maldives, generally.

If they're really slumming it like Portugal or something, they've all got villas in Portugal

...
