So, you know, I've been looking forward to talking to you for a long time for a few reasons.

One, you're a fantastic player, and I think you're one of the people out there really pushing the boundaries of the instrument, especially as a solo voice.

But before we do that, let's get a little bit of your background.

So you're originally from the UK, right?

Yeah, I am.

Yeah, so I grew up in England and I lived there until I was 19.

You know, just went to school.

And then I actually did a year of a physics degree.

Because, you know, in school, I was pretty good with maths and stuff and science-type subjects.

And I was really into music in school, and I was playing in bands, and I was playing piano and also bass.

no one in my family is a professional musician or anything like that. I grew up in quite a small town.

So, you know, there wasn't really any like music scene or anything like that. And doing music professionally didn't really seem like a realistic option at first.
