My name is Chris Gillabo. This is our weekly failure Friday segment. One of my favorite things to

0:46.3

work on, it's because I believe we can learn as much from failure as we can from success. So the whole

0:52.0

theme of this segment has been shining a spotlight on mistakes, missteps, disasters, and of course,

0:58.7

failure. Last week we had this epic disaster story of a guy who was selling weighted blankets and

1:04.9

had 17,000 orders that were not delivered in time for the holiday season, basically stuck on

1:11.6

containers. That was episode 1672, probably one of the biggest disasters, at least one of the most

1:18.1

epic that we have had since beginning this series. Today is a little bit different, but it also

1:24.0

begins with a faulty assumption. In the case of last week, the guy basically assumed that he had

1:30.1

plenty of time to get his shipments, and he was wrong about that. Today you'll hear about a different

1:35.6

assumption. Here's what I thought would happen. Here's what actually happened. And of course, what

1:40.4

the person learned along the way. So as I said, I love working on these segments. I really appreciate

1:45.3

the courage and vulnerability of our side uslers who have been sharing. Today's short story features

Amy McCord Jones from Oklahoma City. We told the successful story of her project on episode 863,
