0:24.0	So it's just me this week. James is totally fine. He's out of quarantine. He had a rough 10 days locked in our room.
0:32.0	But he's doing much better now.
0:34.0	But yeah, that means we couldn't do a podcast last week. I'm so sorry about that.
0:40.0	However, even though the podcast was late this week, our next episode is actually out this Wednesday.
0:46.0	So yeah, less than a week away. We're gonna be doing an episode on the back rooms.
0:52.0	It's something that a lot of people have asked us to cover and something we've heard of.
0:57.0	Kind of familiar with, but we don't really know a ton about. So that's gonna be kind of a new fun thing for us.
1:03.0	This week, I'm reading a bunch of SCP entries.
1:07.0	And if you don't know what SCP is, that's totally fine. I'll do my best to explain it.
1:12.0	SCP stands for Secure Container Protect.
1:16.0	And SCP's website is a collection of stories that are all user-submitted. This is a fan-made thing. There's no one person who makes all these stories.
1:26.0	They're all stories about creatures or entities, supernatural beings. It's honestly endless. It gets beyond that.
1:33.0	The SCP Foundation is a place that researches these things and keeps them hidden away from the public.
1:40.0	So all these articles I'm gonna read are basically entries in SCP's database. There's other things on there too. There's like short stories, novellas.
1:49.0	Although I think the most famous format on their website is these kind of like data file wiki entries about various items that they have in containment.
2:00.0	I'm actually gonna be reading a short story from their website first before any of the actual articles, because I think it's really well written. And I think it's a nice way to kind of ease into the world of the SCP Foundation.
2:13.0	The story intros a lot of vocabulary, which you're gonna hear recurring throughout all of these stories.
2:19.0	And I'll outline some here that I've taken from SCP's site so that you're not totally lost. We've got anomaly slash anomalous, and that's anything that doesn't follow the rules of reality as we know them. Object classes, you're gonna hear that a lot.
