Hey friends, today I'm so excited to talk to Cindy Eckhart, who is, I will call her a friend,

but I got to meet her at the Ish Wish Conference. I hope she'll call me a friend, but she agreed

to come onto my podcast. So we are both, not everybody can see us, but we are wearing leather

jackets for each other today. I love it. Women in their motorcycle jackets talking sex. I mean, does it get any better

than this? This is a first time ever event. I feel like we're owning our power. We're going to

talk about owning our power. And of course, I call you friend. Thank you so much, Dr. Casperson,

for having me on. Oh, it's absolutely a pleasure. So you are somebody to know in this world. You sold the air quotes female Viagra for a billion dollars and then you took it back. So we have to hear that story. But that wasn't even your first company. You worked with slate pharmaceuticals for testosterone first. I did. I built, can you believe it? So that really was the precursor, though. I feel how lucky I had been in this

industry for a long time. I was pretty uninspired in the bigger environments. I chased innovation

across my career. And then I fell in love with this particular category, which was sexual medicine,

right? And I fell in love with it because it's such a piece of our life experience.

And I think, I'd be curious your take, but I feel like it's a relatively like young field in

terms of its discovery. You know, forgive the pun, it's such a sexy category anyway.

And I cut my teeth building a company with one of this male sexual health products,

a testosterone. At the time, it was the only long-acting testosterone. And I'm grateful for that

because that satisfied this want to understand this field to build a company, but then I fell in love. And I fell in love with solutions for women.

And, you know, the idea I looked around and thought, okay, there are 26 at the time. There are more

today. FDA approved drugs for some form of male sexual dysfunction, be it low tea, erectile dysfunction,

Paironi's disease, and yet there wasn't a single product for one of women's most common

dysfunction. And that's what set me on the path of the, air quote, female Viagra. And it's

appropriate to say air quote because the media calls a female Viagra, but it's not how it works at all, as you will know.
