This is Serbia. These are the Balkans. This is Eastern Europe. Throughout the centuries, a lot of

strange and inexplicable phenomena happened here. Throughout the centuries, people here believed in

mythical creatures and the paranormal. Even today, although it's the 21st century, the time of

science and rationalism, there is still something that scares us all. Things we cannot find in

explanation for, because in the end, try as we might. There are some things that are beyond the

limits of the rational. These are 10 Scary, allegedly true stories from Eastern Europe.

Number 1. The Ghost of the Wedding Gast

I've been working as a taxi driver for seven years, and I've seen a lot. I've driven all sorts of

crooks and had some problem with addicts. But one event will be engraved in my memory for the rest

of my life. Namely, when I got a call from the dispatcher, to go and fetch a person who I was

supposed to drive to a certain village, which was a little bit away from the city. Normally,

like every other time, I would pick the person up, drive them to their destination, and along the

way we would have some small talk, because I love to discuss different topics with my customers.
