Documentary: ReMastered: "The Two Killings of Sam Cooke" on Netflix Sam Cooke was a star as big as they come, with roots in gospel music, soon even the Lord couldn't hold him, and Sam shared hit talents with the world. Naturally he became a huge success, known all over the world, and started to gain something more powerful than money, he began to have influence and to stand up for his beliefs, rubbing shoulders with Muhammad Ali, and Malcolm X, all the while ignoring blatant threats from the KKK as well as the mob. Everything was coming to a head just before the release of his hit single "A Change Is Gonna Come", when Sam was found shot to death just outside his hotel room. The timing is more than a little strange.
