Get all situated, grab your snacks, maybe a little drink.

A soda pop or maybe some juice, or some hot

chocolate. Ooh, that makes me want hot chocolate. Our first story.

It was my second year of college when I started dating Lily. We've been seeing each other for

about three months when she invited me to her hometown for

the night, a little place out in the countryside about three hours away from campus. She said

she wanted me to meet her mom and her sister. I liked her a lot. It felt like something serious,

you know. We drove up on Friday afternoon.

It was October.

The air was chilly.

And all the trees had turned that deep orange and red that only lasts for about a week before they're gone.

At least family lived in one of those big old farmhouses.

Her mom was warm, talkative, just like Lily. She made roast chicken and apple pie.
