what commentaries should I use?

Before we get to that subject, however, let me take a moment to invite you the two upcoming events

that will both take place in Jacksonville, Florida.

The first is the cutting a straight intensive.

This is a small, intimate setting where for two full days, the attendees will

spend that time with me discussing a case for Bible exposition, sermon, preparation, and delivery,

and a biblical philosophy of ministry, along with whatever

the subject comes up as we get to fellowshiping around the word. We've done a couple of these

in the past, and they have been a great blessing. We're going to do one more this year.

As I mentioned, the seating is limited to keep this small and intimate. It will take place on July

18th and 19th. That's a Thursday and a Friday in Jacksonville, Florida.

Likewise, the Cutting It Straight Expository Preaching Conference is coming back.

I say coming back because we started this conference, I think, in 2014, and we stopped during, we didn't have it 2020. The year the pandemic exploded, and we haven't

done it since then. So this is our first time doing it again. And we are looking

forward to these three days, September 24th through the 26th, Tuesday through Thursday,

Tuesday morning through Thursday night. This will be a larger conference setting. This will be not just myself, but other faithful Bible preachers and teachers who will be preaching in our evening services, giving keynote talks on principles related to Bible exposition and faithful biblical ministry and various breakouts or workshops

that will teach the practices and principles you can utilize to cut it straight in your own
