Hello everybody welcome to the show. In this episode you're going to hear a

conversation that I had with my brother James. Now as you know James lives in London and I live in Paris so it's a little bit difficult for us to arrange a face-to-face meeting

so I decided that I would try for the very first time on Luke's English podcast to record an interview using Skype.

And I think it works okay.

The quality is obviously not perfect, but I think it's quite a good practice for you

because if you think about it in the future you're probably going to need to use English

over the internet.

It's the way that people are going to communicate more and more using conference calls, telephone calls,

so it's actually quite good practice for you to train your ear

to be able to understand English when it's spoken over the internet on Skype for example. Okay so that's

pretty much it. In the episode we talk about New Year, what he did for New Year, some of his latest news, and also movies.

We're both big fans of film and we decided that in this one we would discuss some of our favorite British films and my brother

gives some recommendations of good English films that you should check out.

links and other information. But for now let's get started. So for the first time now I'm actually doing a, I was going to call it a transatlantic podcast but it's not

transatlantic at all. It sounded cool trans channel trans British channel it doesn't sound as impressive though, the trans channel broadcast.

Trans channel obviously means that we're broadcasting across the English channel.

That's the water that runs between France and the UK.

But it doesn't sound as cool, does it, a trans channel

podcast?
