I went flying. No, not in one of the airplanes or jets that I teach in, but I took my first

commercial airline flight as a passenger in over six months. A lot of people are wondering,

is it safe to fly in the airlines? So in this episode, I'll share my experiences.

And while I'd love to tell you everything was just great, well, parts of it weren't.

I will tell you what I learned on the trip and what I'll do differently next time to protect

myself better. I'll also pass along the results of a MIT study that attempts to quantify the

risk of catching COVID-19 while flying on an airliner.

Now, last week in episode 162, we talked about a serious SR-22 that crashed last month

while on an instrument approach into Lawrenceville, Illinois. There were many factors involved,

and it appears the pilot was using his moving map for guidance instead of his
